HON. Alex Ruhunda

Hon. Alex Ruhunda is the founder, founding Executive Director, and incumbent Chairperson, Board of Trustees of Kabarole Research and Resource Centre (KRC), former Chairperson, Rwenzori Association of NGOs and Networks (RANNET).

Founder and Patron of SATNET, Patron Rwenzori Anti-Corruption Coalition(RAC) former Chairperson, Uganda Governance Monitoring Platform (UGMP), Board Member of KRC, Managing Director, DAJ communications Ltd, and former President of the International Association for Community Development (IACD)-Glasgow-UK.

He is currently the Member of Parliament representing Fort Portal Municipality, Chairperson, Rwenzori MPs Forum, Member, Natural Resources Committee, Member Select Committee on NSSF, Budget Committee of Parliament, Former Chairperson, Trade and Industry, committee of Parliament

Hon. Sarah Achieng Opendi

Hon. Sarah Achieng Opendi is a Member of Parliament representing Tororo District a position she has held since 2011.She was appointed Minister of State for Lands, Housing & Urban Development in 2011 and has served as Minister of State for Health (2012-2019) and Minister of State for Energy & Mineral Development (2019-2021).
She holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Makerere University and a Master of Laws Degree from University of Salford, UK.
Her professional career began at Uganda Consolidated Proportions Limited, a subsidiary of the government‐owned Uganda Development Corporation (UDC).She went on to serve as the Deputy Speaker of Tororo District Council from 1998 until 2000. She also served in the office of the Inspector General of Government rose through the ranks the last position held being Principal Inspectorate Officer retiring to join politics in 2006.
Hon.Opendi has held other roles in many other organizations, such as the DANIDA Anti‐Corruption Project, where she was Deputy Project Coordinator; the Acholi Bursary Program, a project of the Royal Netherlands Embassy, where she was the Accountant; and the Windle Trust Uganda, where she was the Finance Manager and the YWCA.
